The youngest child of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King vowed to be a bridge between the civil rights generation and the hip-hop generation as the eighth president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
"I stand before you as a daughter of the civil rights movement calling forth the daughters and sons of the next generation of social change," King said Friday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, where her father preached from 1960 until his death in 1968. "I am a King, yet I am mindful that I am not the only one."

Gary began singing in church at the age of seven, which earned him a role as a featured soloist on The Bobby Jones Gospel Show for many years. Gary has sang and traveled with the Gospel Music Workshop of American during the life of Reverend James Cleveland so no doubt his gospel roots run deep. Enjoy our interview in it's entirety and listen in on how Gary met and landed a part in "Family Reunion" as well as his current role in The Lord Will Make A Way by Garrett Davis. Garry also goes into depth on what it takes to be a great actor his role as Terry boyfriend to the character Brenda in this play.

“I didn't write Amazing,” he says of the new song. “It was written by my co-producer and friend Justin Savage, a young masterful talent that works with many greats in the industry like CeCe Winans, Israel Houghton, and Donnie McClurkin. I was in my office listening to music for the new CD and Justin started singing and playing this song.... and I said, `what is that? I NEED THAT SONG on my project and I LOVE IT.... it's so powerful and works everywhere I sing
First Lady Andrea McCargo, wife to the honorable Bishop Joseph A. McCargo of Maryland has a unique anointing. I've personally witnessed it...this Psalmist will lead you into to worship. Although she doesn't currently have a CD on the market she has not allowed that dream to hinder her from her dedication to the Lord and in leading his people into worship. We will begin featuring those gifted in song but whom do not have a project right here on Gospel Fruits.
You might ask why? because there is a desire from the public to support these gifted men and women who have not yet for one reason or another produced a recording. This should be fun, uplifting and exciting! First Lady Andrea McCargo sang a piece with Stephen Hurd one of her favorite gospel singers...it would be nice to see them sing a song together....come out on Nov 14th....you never know! www.bishopjam.org

ATLANTA (AP) — The Rev. Bernice King embraced the legacy and leadership of her parents on Friday as she became the first woman to head the civil rights organization co-founded by her father.
What is this multi-talented singer and actor up to these days? You might have guessed that he is starring in yet another stage play Garrett Davis' "The Lord Will Make A Way" featuring Scott Savol, Ann Nesby, Calvin Richardson. To some he is "Lil G" to others he is Gary, but to two beautiful little girls he daddy.
